In my opinion, Tom Hogan of Hogan Realty Escondido, Ca is a suspicious landlord. Most of us have had good and bad landlords. You always hear about them being overbearing, nosey, and some… just downright mean. Even some portray a real upright and venerable person. Well…wolves use sheepskin every once in a while. With that in mind, let me introduce you to Tom Hogan of Hogan Realty in Escondido, California.
In my opinion, Tom personifies the “guy’s guy” and will chum up to you while you are on time with rent and are basically being a “quiet tenant”. He will rouse a bit if you need an old appliance replaced, or any other maintenance work. He does not like to be bothered. In my opinion I would NOT RENT from this guy during this time of economic woes in the real estate industry. Tom Hogan likes to do things “off the books” as they say, and when it comes down to making good to his tenants, he will say he doesnt owe deposits, etc. He will manipulate all legal aspects in his favor. Know that this landlord will use EVERY benefit afforded to landlords, by law. When I originally pleaded with him to prorate at least SOME of my deposit, he told me “take me to court”. Well, Tom I have different ideas. The court systems are already clogged enough with petty bullshit. So I would rather just save another innnocent person from going through unprofessionalism, so here lies my OPINION of Tom Hogan of Hogan Realty Escondido.
Take pictures of everything. Hold this one accountable. Caveat emptor, when dealing with this Escondido landlord, Tom Hogan.

If you think I will not react to your slanderous article you are sadly mistaken. In speaking with my attorney yesterday I have a case against you on 2 fronts. One for slander and defamation of character and the other is small claims action for the excess costs of repairs at Pacific. The latter is approximately $2200. If you think losing your deposit was expensive wait until you start moneying up your attorney costs and the repair costs. I will give you until a couple of days to remove the article or be prepared to defend yourself in a court of law. I swear to God on my mothers grave I will come after you as much as the law will allow.

…isn’t that cute? I bet you just can’t wait to rent from this guy!! Newsflash Tom: this is not an “article”. it is not attributed to any major news release platform. It is called a “blog“, and anyone with moderate computer acumen these days can voice their opinion.
